Alan Morton is a character from the Game Boy Color version of Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. He is the counterpart of the Alan Morton in the main version of the game.
Background[]
Pre-game[]
What is known is that he was an eccentric millionaire who rendered his company bankrupt by aquiring certain artefacts. He also lives in a mansion on Shadow Island with his servants.
Game[]
At one point in time, he stole an abkani artefact from Aline. She then hired Charles Fiske, Carnby's mentor, to get it back. After confronting him, he was killed, but not before seeing Alan transformed by the artefact he sought to take from him.
Edward Carnby received a call from Aline, asking if he knew Charles Fiske and to tell him that Fiske is dead, as well as his murderer was Morton.
Attitude[]
Like his counterpart, he cared more of the creatures he was fascinated by instead of fellow people. He had no qualms of leaving his servants defenceless in order to protect his pets. at one time one of his servent uncovered by accident the secret room in the library, Alan then took him to the basement to become a vicitm of his creatures, not wanting to spare him regardless if it was an accident or not.
Trivia[]
- This version of Alan Morton serves as the sole main antagonist and with no relatives revealed.
- He was always shown in his transformed state, appearing identical to the main version of AlanShad, but was transformed through the power of the underworld statue.
- He was implied to be capable of generating a perpetual night cycle after being transformed by the ugly statue, as Fiske just before the final battle told Edward Carnby that he is unable to leave the island until Alan is put to rest, with the island's daybreak upon Morton's death causing the creatures to retreat.
