The Cigars are an enemy from Alone in the Dark that is encountered in the smoking room. They are described in the Report from Captain J. W. Norton. "Cigars" is their in-game name.
Behavior[]
Smoke starts being emitted from the point the player enters the room, causing the protagonist to cough and lose life when the smoke reaches their head. When the room is completely filled, it clears away before restarting. It inflicts five points of damage at a time, making it quite dangerous.
Strategy[]
Wait for the smoke to settle down and run to its source to eradicate it with a Jug full of water. While risky, the player can also avoid the Cigars by running to the point of interest while the smoke is low and run away before it expands.
