The dictaphone is found in Alan Morton's bedroom along with the Statue of an Equilibrist . Here is the recording made by Jeremy Morton of the spell that Joseph Edenshaw celebrated at the stone circle on the moor of Shadow Island and some of Jeremy's considerations on the sorcerer:
