The Digging was a creature that has been removed from Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare.

The Arracheurs appears in some older screenshots of the game, it is a monstrous quadruped with two peculiar saber tooth. The creature's nature is unknown, however it can be assumed that it was an enemy like the hounds of Tindalos or Ophtalmicid , by his appearance can also be assumed that it was one of the results of Alan Morton's experiment. The name probably refers to tooth extraction practice.

It is unknown what the reasons are for its removal from the game but presumably the model has been discarded or modified to be developed into the Hounds of Tindalos or Ophtalmicid.
