Dr. Leng is a character featured in the comic book Life is a hideous thing related to Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. He also has an assistant named Monoplasir.

Dr. Leng is a close friend of Charles Fiske. He resides in a sort of flying ship with his assistant and seems to be very knowledgeable about the servants of darkness and the history of the Asian continent.

Dr. Leng receives Edward Carnby's visit to his airship; the detective, sent to Nepal by his colleague Charles Fiske, wants to gather information on the Crown of Genghis convinced that a sect devoted to darkness, the Kun-Yin, want to use its power to evoke a monstrous dimensionless creature: Creeping Chaos. The latter tells him that Genghis Khan used the power of the Crown to conquer China then he wisely decided to get rid of it: he then entrusted it to the explorer Marco Polo to bring it to the sages of Aggartha to keep it. But when Frank Stone manages to free the growing chaos, Leng contemplates the darkness that comes forward and decides to give Carnby some time before intervening. Finally when the detective, Professor Aline Cedrac and the antiquarian Ganesha managed to prevent the creature's ascent, he retrieves them on his ship and then summons Carnby to give him the news of Fiske's death.
