The Flashlight recurring item in the Alone in the Dark series. It is a portable electric lamp with the common purpose of illuminating dark environments, finding items and solving puzzles.

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

The Flashlight is a device able to illuminate dark areas. While on their mission on Shadow Island, both Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac have flashlights upon arrival. It also a good weapon against the weaker Creatures of Darkness. In addition, they to uncover secrets as the objects reflect its light.

Alone in the Dark (2008)

Another flashlight was used in the Alone in the Dark (2008) game, which was also used to illuminate areas and solve puzzles.
