Inspector Legrasse is a small mentioned character in Alone in the Dark (2024).
History[]
After Derceto Manor was burned by the Union Army leaded by Captain J.W. Norton in 1862, the plantation mansion was left in ruins. The ownership of the land returned to the Ledoux family in 1901, but was left to the elements of the swamps.
Several police reports were filed during the following years as the Ledoux tried to get rid of a camp of squatters on their land. The police made several visits to remove the trespassers, but the people kept returning. Inspector Legrasse found that the squatters were kidnapping several children for unknown reasons. So, on November 1, 1907, Legrasse charged a deadly attack in order to save the children kidnapped by the squatters. Many were killed and even more were jailed.
The following year the Ledoux rebuilt Derceto. It would later be established as the Astarte Artists' Colony.
