The mines (or Spinner before the Patch Summer 2016 Update are Gabriella Saunders' weapons in Alone in the Dark: Illumination.

Alone in the Dark: Illumination[]

Before the Patch Summer 2016 Update Gabriella was armed with some Spinners: devices that, when launched, rotate generating a pyrotechnic disc capable of inflicting damage to enemies at the cost of 20 skill points at a basic level, of which 15 can be recovered by collecting the Spinner after the launch. After the patch they were replaced by proximity mines which, once placed, take a few seconds to arm themselves and then they will explode when an enemy passes over them. The cost remains unchanged, as well as the skill points that can be recovered when you collect them after activation, however you can take them back before they explode, recovering all the components used. Even if placed next to each other they will explode individually: a deflagration will not trigger a series of chain explosions.
