The Octagonal Prism is an object that is retrieved by Aline Cedrac in Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare.

The prism will be delivered to Aline from Lucy Morton, after the girl has recovered the translation of the tablets of Abkanis of Obed Morton's office. You will then need to use the projector at Alan's office, along with the torch, thus starting a movie in which the latter infected his father with the crystal structure of which the Creatures of Darknessare made of, transforming it into an abomination. After the movie will open a secret compartment of the projector, revealing a three-dimensional map of the villa's library.
