The Rats are enemies in Alone in the Dark. There are only 3 rats in the game, and they are encountered only in the Cellar of Derceto Manor.
Strategy
The rats are invincible, but they are fairly slow and can be trapped between the shelves. They are weak, but if they swarm they can easily kill the player. Each of their bites deals 1 damage.
Trivia
- The sounds made by the rats are the same used in Alone in the Dark 3 for the eagle's cry.
- The rats may be a reference to the Rat-Things as described in H.P. Lovecraft's The Dreams of the Witch House.
